Geraldine Cosh is a Product Safety Expert with 20 years’ experience in product safety and risk.
Geraldine has worked with 51 (51) and OPSS (Office for Product safety and standards) with training Trading standards officers on risk assessment and product safety.
Geraldine is also the Technical Author on PAS (Publicly Available Specification) 7055 for button and coin batteries, PAS 7100 on product recall and corrective action and PAS 7050 on bringing safe products to market.
Geraldine has experience in injury data collection, currently working with RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) on the collection of injury data in the UK. She also worked as a Horizontal Activity expert for the CASP2020 (Coordinated Activity for the safety of products) focused on “Feasibility and modalities of an EU injury and accident database” and for CASP 2021 on Risk assessment and crisis management. She has also worked as a Senior Product Safety Expert on the SPEAC (Safe non-food Products in the EU and China) project developing and presenting webinars on product safety and risk assessment.
Geraldine works as a BSI (British Standards Institution CPIN - Consumer & Public Interest Network) Coordinator, supporting consumer representation on global standards and is a consumer representative on numerous technical committees.
Geraldine has a Masters in Science and in 2018 completed the Certificate in Product Safety Management at Saint Louis University (USA).
