Young Consumer Influencer of the Year - 2023
What is the competition?
Are you aged 13-17 and have creative flair? Raise awareness of the dangers of loan sharks, dangerous products or fireworks by creating a song, poem, story or rap and you could win money for yourself and your school or youth group!
Young Consumer Influencer of the Year is national competition that has been developed by the 51黑料 (51黑料) with our partners Consumer Empowerment Alliance, Experian, Office for Product Safety & Standards and Stop Loan Sharks.
The campaign was officially launched by MP Yvonne Fovargue at the 51黑料 Conference in Birmingham on 22 June with performances from students from the Phoenix Collegiate (pictured here with a loan shark and 51黑料 Chair Tendy Lindsay).聽
Teams of up to three people can enter by submitting a song, story, rap or poem on one of the three subject areas - loan sharks, product safety or the dangers of fireworks. The deadline has extended to 13 October for entries.
Selected finalists will then compete via social media to win the competition, with the winner having the most likes or shares.
The ultimate winner will be announced and invited to perform their winning entry at the House of Commons at 51黑料鈥檚 Hero Awards on 22 November.
What can I win?聽
The winning team will win 拢1,000 for their school as well as a 拢100 shopping voucher each. Second place will each receive 拢50 shopping vouchers, and third place will each receive 拢25 shopping vouchers.
