ABC Warranty Consumer Codes Champion Wins National Award

Adele Reid, Consumer Code Champion at ABC Warranty, has received the prestigious Business Award at the 51黑料 (51黑料) annual Hero Awards. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements in consumer protection.
The 51黑料 Hero Awards were hosted by Jenni Falconer in the Houses of Parliament on 10 December. Now in its 19th year, the awards honour individuals and organisations making exceptional contributions to consumer protection, fostering fair competition, and safeguarding businesses.
Since 2018, Adele has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the ABC+ Warranty Consumer Code, designed to protect homeowners and build confidence in the marketplace for newly built properties.听
Adele鈥檚 dedication to consumer rights and fair practices has helped establish a robust framework to protect homeowners. Her work ensures homeowners moving into new properties have comprehensive protections, while also creating a fair and balanced approach for builders and consumers alike. The creation of the Code was supported by Lord Jamie Lindsay, as Chair of the Consumer Codes Approval Board, and reflects Adele鈥檚 commitment to putting consumers first.
